SALT LAKE CITY — Confirming one of the worst-kept secrets in the history of the notoriously tight-lipped team, the Utah Jazz announced today that the team has hired former University of Utah basketball star Alex Jensen as the player development assistant. Besides a stellar college career, Jensen distinguished himself as a well-regarded assistant while teaming up with his former coach Rick Majerus at St. Louis from 2007-11. Jensen then jumped to the pros, becoming the first head coach of the expansion Canton Charge of the NBA Development League where he was named D-League Coach of the Year.
