SALT LAKE CITY — During last night's game against the Mavericks Marvin Williams ended up with some knee inflammation. He is being treated for it, but will miss the next three games.

To battle the lack of depth at the wing position the Jazz have recalled rookie Kevin Murphy from the D-League Reno Bighorns. The 47th pick in the draft has averaged 13 points and 3 rebounds in 28.6 minutes of playing time with 12 starts out of the 14 games he has played.

Murphy will be with the team on the coming road trip that includes tomorrow night's game in Charlotte and the Hawks on Friday. Williams will miss the game his former team the Hawks, who the Jazz traded with to get him for Devin Harris.

The Jazz will be Williams-less with Mo Williams out for at least another month.

In the past DeMarre Carroll has been starting in Marvin's place, though no official word has come out for the Jazz's plans.
