just a matter of time with this series, I figure if the JAZZ are very lucky they may get one game anything beyond that is a miracle. Too bad for those players who are really trying and giving it their all. Hopefully another year they will discover and utilize their strengths and have more success.
After the first quarter, I'm wondering if the Jazz have already given up because they sure haven't shown up. Glad I saved my money on playoff tickets. Easier to watch the demise at home. Jazz this year are typical of late, start great and reserve the cabo villas before the first round starts.
The Jazz second quarter was a mirror of the first quarter. Defensively, they are playing poorly. Lakers are shooting 66% from the field scoring 62 points.
The Jazz are only shooting 36%. Brewer only 2 of 6. Kirilenko only 1 of 5. Milsap only 1 of 5. Miles only 2 of 8.
The Jazz have TWO main weaknesses in this game: offense and defense.
Jazz decide to take the ball inside this quarter. They get some easy baskets and some foul shots. Combine that with the Lakers' lax offensive attitude, and the point deficit for the Jazz drops from 22 to 13.
The Lakers tend to re-energize during the fourth quarter. I'm afraid a 13 point deficit will be very tough for the Jazz to overcome.
Laker 1-0. Although Collins had an ok game defensively and foul shooting, the Jazz certainly miss the offensive points of Okur (when he's "on"). Hopefully Okur will be back on Tuesday.
The Jazz certainly need to shoot better and to play better defense.
i hope we get rid of sloan how long does it take to figure the jazz never will get a ring as long as Sloan is around watch how he treats his players you cant get the best out of someone if you treat your players bad.
@ted125 - HAHA ya your right, Sloan in awful thats why he is going into the HOF this year! keep taliking out your butt, he is probably one of the best coaches in the NBA, and plus if he treated his players bad, i doubt anyone would even wanna play for him and Utah wouldnt even have the Jazz.
I put today's loss squarely on the shoulders of Andre. Weak defense, leaving his man wide open several time for easy shots, backing away on defense instead of being aggressive, wild passes, missed many many layups. Throwing up bricks form the perimeter.
What happened to the guy that was know as a shot blocker and great defender that got him his huge contract?
Please NBA go to non guaranteed contracts like the NFL so every year would be a contract year and they would play like it.
The Jazz need to get some heart, grit, and some motivation. I would love to see them beat the Lakers. I'm tired of the fan and media love affair with that rapist Kobe.
You whine, you moan, you cry, you complain about players and if the Jazz don't win it all, you just never shut up about Sloan and guys like AK.....
Just be a fan, root for your team, grow the heck up, and have fun with it. Its Utah for pete's sake. You're lucky you even have a team in the first place.
about time that guy is out.I was sick of watching him watch the other guys do all the work, we need more black players on the jazz and then we may have a chance.Memmo might be tall but his dumd and slow.
