E Carolina beats Tulane 76-73 for first road win

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Caleb White scored all of his 17 points in the second half, Kentrell Barkley also scored 17, and East Carolina rallied to beat Tulane 76-73 on Tuesday night for its first road win of the season after nine tries.

Down 74-72 with 43 seconds left, Tulane's Melvin Frazier missed two free throws and Andre Washington blocked Cameron Reynold's layup attempt off the offensive rebound. Washington made one of two from the line on the other end for a 75-72 lead with 31 seconds left. Reynolds missed two 3-pointers, Colin Slater made one of two free throws, and Tulane closed to 75-73 with eight seconds to go.

Barkley made one of two free throws for a 76-73 ECU lead and the game came down to a final shot, Slater's missed 3 from the corner.

Washington scored 11 points had a career-high seven blocks for the third individual 80-block season in East Carolina history. Jeremy Sheppard scored 16 for ECU (13-15, 5-10 American), which trailed 34-29 at halftime.

White moved into fifth place on ECU's all-time scoring list with 1,497 points.

Reynolds scored 22 for Tulane (5-22, 2-13).
