ORGANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) — Tiwian Kendley scored 29 points to lift Morgan State past South Carolina State for a 77-75 win that gave coach Todd Bozeman his 167th victory and a program record.

Bozeman, in his 11th season with the Bears, became the winningest coach in Morgan State history, surpassing Nathaniel Frazier.

Morgan State (8-11, 5-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) trailed much of the game but rallied in the second half, getting a 3-pointer from Isiah Graves with 4:08 left to go up 66-65. James Richards then sank a pair of free throws at the other end to briefly put SC State (5-13, 2-3) back on top before the Bears used a 6-1 spurt fueled by Kendley and Graves to retake the advantage for good.

Graves finished with 11 points and Kyle Thomas and Tyler Streeter had 10 apiece.

Richards led the Hornets with 20 points and Greg Mortimer scored 15.
