ATLANTA (AP) — Utah sophomore Mitch Wishnowsky has captured the Ray Guy Award as the best punter in college football.

Wishnowsky is among a wave of punters from Australia who have revolutionized the position in America. He was honored Thursday night, beating out Michael Dickson of Texas and Cameron Johnston of Ohio State.

Wishnowsky led the nation in net punting (44.9 yards) and had 28 punts of at least 50 yards. He didn't have a touchback after his first game of the season.
