Briscoe leads Sam Houston to 52-16 win over Houston Baptist

HOUSTON (AP) — Jeremiah Briscoe threw for three touchdowns and Remus Bulmer ran for two scores as Sam Houston State dominated Houston Baptist 52-16 to remain undefeated.

Briscoe, who passed for 281 yards and two scores in the first half, finished with 369 yards. Briscoe was 26-of-47 passing and avoided sacks and interceptions. Bulmer carried the ball 19 times for 124 yards.

Sam Houston State (3-0, 2-0 Southland Conference) was up 28-0 before the Huskies got on the board and held a 31-6 halftime advantage.

The Bearkats, who finished with 632 total yards, had amassed 399 yards in the first half. SHSU held the Huskies to 153 yards passing and 370 total yards for the game.

Mouf Adebo had eight tackles and P.J. Hall had seven with 2.5 sacks for SHSU.

Terrance Peters rushed for 104 yards and Tony Dawson added 88 yards for Houston Baptist (2-2, 1-2).
