OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — West Virginia opened up a tie game with four runs in the seventh inning to beat Texas Tech 9-4 on Thursday in the Big 12 tournament.

Kyle Davis drove in three runs on a triple in the seventh inning to lead the Mountaineers (35-21), who also got a home run from Jackson Cramer in the fourth.

Blake Smith (5-1) got the win in relief for West Virginia despite allowing two runs and three innings.

Tyler Neslony had a pair of hits for Texas Tech (41-15), whose bullpen allowed six runs in the final two innings.
