WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) — Two Purdue University athletics complexes were damaged during a weekend water main break.

Purdue athletics communications director Tom Schott says the Holloway Volleyball Court in the Brees Academic Performance Center had the most damage. It must be replaced. So must the Mackey Arena basketball court.

The damage happened sometimes between Friday night and Saturday morning when a water line that was being laid for the new Football Performance Complex leaked. It's not clear what caused the leak, which caused 3 to 5 inches of water to collect at Brees.

Purdue officials say the damage will affect summer camps, which will have to find other accommodations.

Schott says the school will know the full cost of repairs later this week. He says the university is in touch with its insurance provider.
