PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (AP) — Jayrn Johnson scored 17 points and Prairie View A&M rallied from a second half deficit to beat Grambling State 60-56 on Saturday night.

Admassu Williams finished with 16 points and 14 rebounds and Zachary Hamilton added 10 for Prairie View A&M (3-20, 3-8 SWAC), which has followed up a seven game losing skid by winning back-to-back games for the first time this season.

The Panthers were held to just 34.9 percent shooting, but grabbed 19 total offensive rebounds and forced 22 Tigers turnovers.

Michael Bethea led Grambling State (6-18, 3-9) with 15 points. Mark Gray added 13 points and six rebounds for the Tigers, who are on a season-long seven game slide.

Grambling State led 46-43 after a jumper by Arnold Richmond with 8:04 left. But the Panthers pieced together a 9-0 run, capped by two Williams free throws, over the next three-and-a-half minutes to take the lead for good.
