BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) — Tim Kempton scored 17 points and had nine rebounds to help lead Lehigh to a 72-49 blowout win over American University on Saturday night.

Kyle Leufroy finished with 12 points and Austin Price had 11 for Lehigh (8-14, 5-5 Patriot League), which shot 52.6 percent from the field while holding the Eagles to just 31.5 percent.

Andrija Matic had 14 points to lead American University (7-16, 5-7), which was held below 50 points for the seventh time this season. Delante Jones added 12 points for the Eagles.

Lehigh held a 38-28 lead at halftime. The Mountain Hawks opened the second half on a 16-0 run, eight of which came from Kempton, and opened up a 26-point lead (54-28). Price nailed hit a 3-pointer with 11:19 to go for a 62-29 lead, the largest of the game for Lehigh.
