MONROE, La. (AP) — Majok Deng was 8 of 17 from the floor and made all six free throw attempts for 22 points as Louisiana-Monroe beat Chattanooga 64-54 on Monday night.
Louisiana-Monroe (3-2) had a 28-20 halftime advantage but the Mocs charged back in the second half to tie the game at 39 with 8:22 left. Deng hit a jumper to start a 16-8 run and the Warhawks led 55-47 with 2:29 left. Nick Coppola scored seven of his 14 points in the final two minutes and Deng added two free throws and slammed home a dunk to seal the win.
Travis Munnings had 11 points and three assists for Louisiana-Monroe.
Casey Jones led Chattanooga (5-2) with 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Chuck Ester and Tre' McLean chipped in nine apiece for the Mocs.
