Elon rallies down the stretch to beat Kennesaw State in OT

ELON, N.C. (AP) — Luke Eddy made three game-tying free throws with 1.3 seconds left in regulation and hit four more in overtime to help Elon rally past Kennesaw State 103-93 on Monday night.

Kendrick Ray made two free throws with 19 seconds left in the second half to give Kennesaw State a 89-81 lead. Eddy answered with a pull-up jumper and Kennesaw State's Nigel Pruitt missed two free throws with 11.6 seconds left.

Dainan Swoope hit a 3-pointer from the corner with 4.8 seconds left. Then Elon stole the inbound play and Eddy was fouled in the corner.

Kennesaw State went 2 of 6 from the free-throw line in overtime and didn't hit its first field goal until Kendrick Ray's layup with 32 seconds left.

Tanner Samson recorded career highs with 31 points and 11 rebounds for Elon (4-3). Christian Hairston added 21 points with 13 boards — both career bests — and Eddy scored 12.

Yonel Brown led Kennesaw State (1-7) with 31 points and Ray had career highs with 28 points and 12 rebounds.
