WASHINGTON (AP) — James Daniel III and Marcel Boyd had 24 points apiece to lead Howard to its fifth straight win, a 98-79 victory over Central Penn on Monday night.

Boyd made 12 of 16 free throw attempts, had 16 rebounds and five blocked shots. Daniel, who averages 29.5 points per game, made 11 of 15 free throws and was 5 of 16 from the floor.

Solomon Mangham added 12 points while grabbing 10 rebounds and Dalique Mingo chipped in 11 points for Howard (5-2).

Howard rolled to a 54-33 halftime advantage and then coasted to the win. The Bison won the rebound battle 50-30 and scored 46 points in the paint, compared to Central Penn's 36.

Dominique Twiggs, with 23 points, and John Starks Jr. with 21, led Central Penn. Tyree Tucker added 13 and Rafeeq Bush chipped in 11.
