HONOLULU (AP) — Quinn Dornstauder scored 14 points with 5-for-8 shooting and grabbed four rebounds to lead No. 16 Arizona State to a 60-47 win over Cal State Bakersfield in the Rainbow Wahine Showdown on Sunday.

Katie Hempen added 12 points and Arnecia Hawkins had 7 points to go with six rebounds for Arizona State (3-2), which hit 43 percent from the field on 53 shots and controlled the glass 38-25. The Sun Devils got 14 assists on 23 field goals.

Arizona State scored the first eight points of the game and never trailed. Dornstauder's 3-point play gave the Sun Devils an 18-3 lead just seven minutes in and Arizona State took a 36-18 advantage into the break, enough to cushion being outscored 29-24 over the final 20 minutes.

Airica Carmon scored 13 points, including a pair of 3-ponters, for Bakersfield (1-5).
