ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Frank Rogers scored 18 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead San Jose State past San Diego for a 76-67 win in the Great Alaska Shootout's consolation semifinals Friday.

Isaac Thornton added 15 points, Ryan Welage had 10 points and Princeton Onwas also scored 10 points while dishing out seven assists for the Spartans (2-3).

Trailing 52-46 midway through second half, San Jose State edged into the lead with a 12-3 run that included a 3-pointer from Thornton to make it 58-55 with 6:39 to go. The Spartans clung to the lead rest of the way, sealing the win with Brandon Clarke's dunk just ahead of the buzzer.

San Jose State hit 46 percent of its 59 shots from the floor and had 21 assists.

San Diego (0-5) was led by Duda Sanadze's 21 points and Brett Bailey's 10 points and eight rebounds.
