YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) — Drew Hare ran for 166 yards and passed for 44 yards to lead Northern Illinois to a 28-17 win over Eastern Michigan on Saturday.

Northern Illinois (6-2, 3-1 Mid-American Conference) held a 14-10 advantage at the half. Reginald Bell, Jr., who finished with 257 total yards, scored from the 4 to give EMU (2-6, 1-3) a 17-14 lead at the start of the final quarter. The Huskies answered with a 24-yard scoring run by Joel Bouagnon to retake the lead, and Cameron Stingily scored from the 1 with 3:26 remaining to seal the win.

The Huskies, who had a 17-game road winning streak broken with a 52-14 loss to Arkansas on Sept. 20, got back in the win column in this road game.

Bell threw for 124 yards and ran for 133 yards for EMU.
