ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — The Texas Rangers have received right-hander pitcher Brady Dragmire on a waiver claim from the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Texas also Friday lost left-hander David Rollins to Philadelphia, his fourth team since the World Series.
Pittsburgh had acquired the 23-year-old Dragmire from Toronto for cash considerations in October. He was 4-6 with a 4.38 ERA in 45 relief appearances for New Hampshire in the Eastern League, his first time at the Double-A level.
The AL West champion Rangers had received Rollins from the Chicago Cubs on Nov. 22, four days after the champions had gotten the Texas-born pitcher on a waiver claim from Seattle.
In 11 relief appearance for the Mariners last season, Rollins allowed eight runs over 9 1-3 innings.
