NEW YORK (AP) — NL home run leader Trevor Story of the Colorado Rockies has jammed his left thumb and exited early against the New York Mets.

X-rays were negative Saturday night.

The rookie shortstop came out in the bottom of the fourth inning after diving for Justin Ruggiano's single in the hole. In the top half of the inning, Story appeared to hurt himself when he scrambled into second base and was tagged out, trying to advance on a bad throw on his RBI single.

Story has hit 27 homers and is batting .272 with 72 RBIs.
