CINCINNATI (AP) — The Arizona Diamondbacks activated infielder Chris Owings off the 15-day disabled list Saturday before the second game of their series against the Cincinnati Reds.

Owings had been sidelined by an inflamed arch in his left foot. He batted .285 with 10 doubles, four triples, two homers and 18 RBIs in 54 games before going on the DL.

Arizona put infielder Nick Ahmed on the 15-day disabled list with a sore right hip. He was batting .218 with nine doubles, one triple, four homers and 20 RBIs in 90 games. Ahmed started at shortstop on Friday and went 0 for 2 with a walk during Cincinnati's 6-2 win.

The loss was Arizona's 16th in 20 games.
