WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump has told the leaders of Mexico and Canada that he will not pull out of the North American Free Trade Agreement. The White House made the surprise announcement in a read-out of calls Wednesday between the world leaders. The White House says the president "agreed not to terminate NAFTA at this time."

WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House says President Donald Trump did not attend the entire meeting with senators who gathered to discuss the crisis in North Korea. An administration official says Trump attended only the first five minutes of the meeting. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats and Gen. Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, presided over the full meeting.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump's team boasted Wednesday that its tax-cut plan would shrink Americans' financial burdens, ignite economic growth and vastly simplify tax filing. Yet the plan so far remains short of vital details, including how it would be paid for.

MILFORD, Pa. (AP) — A jury has given the death penalty to a gunman who targeted Pennsylvania state troopers at their barracks, killing one and leaving a second with devastating injuries. Thirty-three-year-old Eric Frein (freen) was sentenced Wednesday, a week after his conviction on charges including murder of a law enforcement officer and terrorism. The defense says Frein grew up in a dysfunctional household.

UNDATED (AP) — Americans are weighing in on President Donald Trump's first 100 days in office, and while some supporters see reason for hope on immigration and the economy, others worry over his proposals for budget cuts and refugees. Some on both sides point to health care reform as a failure, and others offer advice for the first-term president. One supporter says focus on jobs, while an objector advises Trump to "make decisions with your heart."
