RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) — Saudi officials say a rocket fired from Yemen hit a family's home in Saudi Arabia's southern border region of Najran, killing two children and wounding five other people.

The kingdom's Civil Defense force said Sunday that those killed and wounded were all members of the same family.

Saudi forces and Shiite Houthi rebels fire missiles and rockets across the border at one another on a daily basis.

Yemen is embroiled in a civil war pitting the internationally recognized government and a Saudi-led coalition against the Shiite Houthi rebels and army units loyal to a former president. The fighting has allowed al-Qaida and an Islamic State affiliate in Yemen to expand their reach, particularly in the country's south.
