LJUBLJANA, Slovenia (AP) — Police in Slovenia say they have seized 175 kilograms (385 pounds) of cocaine in one of the biggest drug busts in the small Alpine nation in years.
Police said Thursday they found the cocaine during a routine check of a truck that stopped at highway rest area in western Slovenia. A sniffer dog discovered part of the cocaine beneath the driver's seat, while the rest was found in another, truck abandoned nearby.
Police say the drugs' street value is estimated at more than 10 million euros ($12.5 million). The truck driver has been detained.
