Anti-discrimination ordinance passes in Holladay

The City of Holladay has become the latest local municipality to pass a law to prevent discrimination based on sexual identity. By a vote of 5-1, council members approved an ordinance to prohibit such discrimination in housing and employment.

Bill enabling stricter air pollution rules a step closer to law

A legislative committee on Friday advanced a bill that would allow the Utah Division of Air Quality to make more stringent rules governing air pollution than the federal government. The tougher requirements would have to meet certain conditions.
