Utah halfway to governor's goal of 100,000 jobs

Utah is on track to add 100,000 jobs within three years, Gov. Gary Herbert said Thursday, reporting on a promise he made in early 2012.

Utah Sen. Orrin Hatch says the passage of a tough border enforcement amendment to the Senate's Gang of Eight immigration bill resulted in a "much better bill" that led to his support of the measure. But Sen. Mike Lee called the bill as "an enormous disappointment."

Judge suspends Utah law restricting some federal officers

A federal judge issued a temporary restraining order on a new Utah law meant to prevent U.S. Forest Service and BLM personnel from enforcing state laws in Utah.
