Is Utah's season already doomed?

In its third year in the Pac-12, the University of Utah has yet to find a signature win against a quality conference opponent. And with the Pac-12 making significant improvements in talent, it begs the question whether Utah's season is doomed.

It was there for the taking. The Utes were in position to knock off the 12th ranked team in the country and earn their first signature win against a Pac-12 opponent. UCLA executed when it mattered most and the Utes didn't allowing the Bruins to escape Rice-Eccles Stadium with a 34-27 victory.

Travis Wilson in bed sick leading up to UCLA game

Utah quarterback Travis Wilson had a rough night Thursday, throwing six interceptions in a 34-27 loss to the No. 12 UCLA Bruins. On Monday, Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham said Wilson was suffering from an illness leading up to the game, which might have contributed to his poor play.
