GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) — The state of Wyoming has opened a text line for those who might be experiencing a crisis or thinking of suicide.
The Gillette News Record reports (https://goo.gl/oFKv1h ) Campbell County was the first in Wyoming to have a crisis text line, and the entire state can now tap into the resource, which is aimed at youth and young adults in particular.
The statewide crisis text line, which can be reached at WYO 741-741, will provide anonymous support through a familiar and accessible form of communication available to most people.
Trained specialists in crisis intervention will handle the texts.
