BALTIMORE (AP) — A bus carrying 26 people in Maryland has veered off a road, sending 17 passengers to area hospitals with minor injuries.
WJZ reports (http://cbsloc.al/2aiQtjt) that the Regional Transit Bus crash occurred about 8:40 p.m. Saturday in Anne Arundel County, which is south of Baltimore.
The bus crashed through a guardrail and came to rest in a wooded area. Investigators say a Toyota Corolla cutoff the bus before the accident. Two people riding in the car were also taken to the hospital.
Authorities say alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
