MINOT, N.D. (AP) — Police in Minot say the suspect in a gang-related fatal shooting in November has been arrested in Las Vegas.
Police say 26-year-old old Johnny Norwood was arrested Friday on an outstanding warrant for murder.
Police have accused Norwood of fatally shooting 30-year-old Roger Falana on Nov. 29 in downtown Minot.
After the shooting, law enforcement authorities said Norwood has ties to a gang in California. They said Falana, who had been living in Minot but was originally from Florida, had ties to a gang in his home state.
Police on Friday said Norwood was in a vehicle stopped by law enforcement in Las Vegas. He was identified and arrested without incident.
Norwood's court record in North Dakota does not list an attorney who could comment on his case.
