HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) — Hannah Brewer has won the Miss Maryland pageant and will compete for the crown of Miss America in September.
The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown reports (http://bit.ly/28YNdLj ) that Brewer, a rising college sophomore from Manchester, Maryland, represented Rocky Gap in the competition Saturday night at the Maryland Theatre in Hagerstown. As the winner of the competition, Brewer receives a $10,000 scholarship.
Brewer will be transferring this fall from Carroll Community College to McDaniel College. She is studying business.
The Miss America pageant will be held Sept. 11 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
