SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — The Latest on the search for a Northern California girl abducted at gunpoint (all times local):
11:15 am
Authorities are asking people who may have seen a teenage girl abducted by an armed acquaintance to call them after finding no evidence the girl was in a Northern California creek searched since Friday.
Officials late Saturday called off a two-day search by sheriff's divers, canine units and search and rescue teams for 15-year-old Pearl Pinson in the Willow Creek area of Sonoma Coast State Park.
Solano County Sheriff's spokeswoman Christine Castillo says there are no searches planned for Sunday.
She says investigators will base future searches on leads they are currently investigating.
She is encouraging those who may have seen the high school freshman after she was kidnapped Wednesday to call 911 or their local police department. The teen was kidnapped while walking to a school bus stop near her home.
