BETTENDORF, Iowa (AP) — A Bettendorf high school principal is facing scrutiny after a state report noted that he has a potential conflict of interest.
The Quad-City Times says (http://bit.ly/1TEyzVV ) the state report issued Thursday outlines several problems with Bettendorf Community School District policies.
It also notes that high school principal Jimmy Casas bought T-shirts for his staff related to a business in which he is involved. Casas says he followed district rules, and the purchase was approved by the school's business office.
Casas manages his own website and co-founded EdCampIowa, which hosts presentations for educators, parents, students and others. He also has worked as a professional speaker.
