MOAPA, Nev. (AP) — Fire officials are investigating the cause of an overnight fire that destroyed three buildings and a shed about 35 miles north of Las Vegas, and charred 3 acres of surrounding trees and farmland.
No injuries were reported after Clark County firefighters from Moapa (moh-AH'-pah), Logandale, Las Vegas and the federal Bureau of Land Management doused flames late Thursday off West Warm Springs Road.
Clark County fire Capt. John Steinbeck says the fire was reported about 10:30 p.m.
He says firefighters arrived to find two vacant homes ablaze and surrounding palm trees afire.
