EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — A graduating senior at Michigan State University has used parking tickets to decorate her green graduation cap in the form of a Spartan block "S."

Kaila Davidson, who graduates Saturday, got 10 parking tickets during her senior year. The tickets are paid off. Davidson says she was going to throw them away, but she "figured, why not do something fun with them?"

Davidson tweeted a photo of the cap Monday to Michigan State University Police, tweeting "i'll never forget you." By midday Tuesday, the tweet had more than 800 retweets and 3,000 likes.

MSU Police Capt. Doug Monette says the tweet was sent directly to police and that "we saw there was humor in it, so we responded in kind." The department tweeted back, "Looks like we are going to miss you! Congrats on your graduation!"
