COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) — Police are investigating an afternoon armed robbery of a 7-Eleven near the University of Maryland campus in College Park.

Campus police said in an alert to students and staff that two men armed with handguns came into the store around 2:45 on Friday. Police say the men stole property and left in a vehicle that was last seen heading toward the College Park Metro station.

Prince George's County police are investigating.

The 7-Eleven is on Baltimore Avenue, about three blocks south of the campus.
