LAS VEGAS (AP) — Forecasters have issued a freeze warning for the Las Vegas valley.
The warning is in effect through 8 a.m. Friday morning. In addition to the Las Vegas area, it includes Moapa, Overton, Mesquite and Boulder City.
Temperatures are expected to fall into the upper 20s in some areas. Sensitive plants should be covered or moved indoors and residents should make sure pets have adequate shelter and warmth.
Forecasters say the weather will be cooler than usual through Tuesday, with high temperatures possibly reaching the mid-50s and lows that drop into the mid- and upper-30s. There is a chains of rain on Sunday.
Temperatures should be back into the 60s by next Thursday.
