PROVO, Utah (AP) — Police say that a man accused of threatening his girlfriend and the couple's children with a gun has been arrested after a standoff in Spanish Fork.
Spanish Fork police say they found the man passed out in his bed early Thursday morning, hours after a boy reported that 52-year-old Hamod Abdollah was threatening his mother a gun.
Police say that the woman was able to get away, but two boys, ages 2 and 12, were still inside the apartment with the man identified as.
Officers say they evacuated the apartment complex and called Abdollah, but he refused to leave.
Police found him drunk and asleep when they entered the apartment, but couldn't locate a gun.
No lawyer was immediately listed for Abdollah in court records.
