COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The uncle of a 12-year-old Ohio girl wounded in a shooting that killed her parents and 7-year-old brother says she could be released from the hospital soon.
Jason Lozier told The Associated Press on Wednesday that his niece was doing well two days after the shooting.
Columbus police say a man shot Lozier's brother, John Anderson II, as well as Anderson's wife, Christina, and their son, Landon, at their Columbus home on Monday. The suspect, 50-year-old Barry Kirk, was shot by officers responding to the scene and later died.
Lozier has said Kirk was a once-friendly neighbor who had some kind of argument with Anderson in recent months.
Police have said all the victims suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
