SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Police have arrested a Millard County man charged in his wife's death after prosecutors say he gave her vodka knowing it could be fatal when mixed with her medication.
Court records show police in West Valley City arrested 61-year-old Lee J. McIntyre of Scipio this week. A warrant for McIntyre's arrest has been out since he was charged in May with manslaughter and evidence tampering in the 2013 death of 58-year-old Janet McIntyre.
Prosecutors said in court documents that she was a heavy drinker when her doctor placed her on a strict alcohol restriction because of her medications. The documents say her husband knew but bought her vodka anyway.
Millard County Sheriff's Capt. Richard Jacobson did not have details about the arrest but said McIntyre's whereabouts had been unknown.
No attorney was listed for Lee McIntyre.
