FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — A Fresno High School teacher will be arraigned Friday on 37 felony charges in connection to having sex with his underage former student.
The Fresno Bee reports (http://bit.ly/1VIOeEi ) that the 46-year-old teacher was arrested Sept. 24 after the student reported her relationship to her parents.
Fresno Unified School District says the teacher has been placed on administrative leave.
Police say the 17-year-old victim told her parents she began having an affair with her teacher when she was 15 years old. She told her parents they began having sex when she was 16.
Detectives found she sent hundreds of sexually provocative pictures of herself to the man over text messages during the relationship.
