BOUNTIFUL, Utah (AP) — A Bountiful resident is asking for help finding whoever is responsible for beating and possibly poisoning his dog.
KSL-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1JSNghM ) that Nick Gilson had to put down his 11-year-old Rottweiler, German shepherd mix named Jackson after the dog sustained serious injuries.
Gilson says he came home Sept. 21 to find Jackson injured. When he took the dog to the vet he was told the injuries were consistent with a severe beating. Gilson says Jackson also showed signs of possible poisoning.
Gilson filed a police report and contacted animal services. He is offering a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to the discovery of the person involved.
