ARIMO, Idaho (AP) — An eastern Idaho teacher is facing charges of being under the influence of drugs while in public after police say she was unconscious at her desk in class.
Thirty-two-year-old Chelsea Nicholes also faces a charge of disorderly conduct.
Bannock County Sheriff Lorin Nielsen tells the Idaho State Journal (http://bit.ly/1j8ANBN) that a resource office was called to the Marsh Valley High School classroom on Thursday.
Nielsen says Nicholes' actions appeared to be that of someone who was intoxicated.
Nicholes was taken to Portneuf Medical Center where she was examined and released. She was then taken to Bannock County Jail, and bond was set at $550.
She was not listed on the jail roster on Sunday.
Nielsen says an investigation will include toxicology tests taken at the hospital and interviews with students.
