INDIANA, Pa. (AP) — The Indiana County coroner has ruled out foul play in the death of a 19-year-old Indiana University of Pennsylvania student on the school's campus.
Coroner Jerry Overman Jr. says the body of Devin Lecomte, of Ashville, was discovered on a street around 1 a.m. Monday.
University officials say the freshman was planning to study fine arts at IUP and had just started classes last week.
Overman says he has ruled out foul play, but that the cause of the student's death won't be determined until toxicology results are returned on blood and tissues sent to a laboratory.
University president Michael Driscoll tells students that, "We are here to help you. You are not alone. If you are hurting or confused, talk to us and talk to each other."
