LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities say the 35-year-old driver of a pickup truck towing a travel trailer on northbound Interstate 15 died from his injuries after the vehicle overturned near the Las Vegas Motor Speedway exit.

The Nevada Highway Patrol says the man and a 36-year-old woman in the passenger seat of the Ford F-150 were ejected before 7:30 p.m. Sunday when the driver overcorrected after veering into the right shoulder. The trailer overturned sending the truck into the dirt median where it also flipped.

The agency says the man and woman weren't wearing their seatbelts.

Both were taken to the hospital with critical injuries where the man later died. Highway patrol says a 17-year-old boy in the backseat also wasn't wearing a seatbelt. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
