FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. (AP) — A man and woman driving to a hotel in suburban Philadelphia ended up with a place to stay for the night, though it's not where they were headed.

WPVI-TV reports (http://6abc.cm/1SBEs8e) 41-year-old Richard Schnee and 44-year-old Ardean Marie Smith were arrested and booked for drunken driving Sunday.

Authorities say Schnee was following Smith to a hotel, but the woman's GPS led both of their vehicles to the Upper Dublin Police Department instead. Officers told the pair they were in a restricted area and administered a field sobriety test when they smelled alcohol.

It's unclear if Schnee and Smith have attorneys who could comment on the charges.
