FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) — No injuries were reported after a school bus collided with a moose on an interior Alaska road.
The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner newspaper (http://is.gd/gyTy5y ) reports an Alaska State Trooper killed the moose after the Tuesday afternoon collision near mile 12 of Chena Hot Springs Road.
Fairbanks North Star Borough School District spokeswoman Johanna Carson says eight students were on board the route 64 bus when the crash occurred.
The bus serves students from North Pole middle and high school, and Two Rivers School.
