HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) — Police have released security camera images of two men sought in a closing-time armed robbery at a sports betting area at a casino several miles south of the Las Vegas Strip.
Henderson police say the two men displayed handguns about 9:45 p.m. Wednesday and ordered employees to get on the ground before jumping behind a counter at the M Resort sports book.
No one was injured, and police spokesman Keith Paul says the robbers made off in a black four-door sedan with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The sports book had been taking Super Bowl bets, and Paul noted it was scheduled to close at 10 p.m.
The robbers were described as white males in their early to mid-20s of about average height and weight. Both wore dark baseball caps.
