LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police are investigating a crash that left a 15-year-old skateboarder critically hurt when he lost his grip on the door of his mother's car and fell to the pavement in a neighborhood several miles west of downtown Las Vegas.
Las Vegas police say the teen was taken to University Medical Center after the incident a little before 7:30 p.m. Wednesday on Alta Drive a few blocks west of Torrey Pines Drive.
Police say 46-year-old Sherry Ranae Williams-Lamb was questioned at the scene.
Crash investigators say the boy was holding the driver's door of the moving 2009 Nissan Sentra when he fell.
Williams-Lamb and a 14-year-old girl were in the car at the time.
