BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — The search for a new school superintendent in Vermont's largest city is down to two.

The Burlington School Board's search committee says the two superintendent finalists will be in Burlington on Thursday and Friday to meet with the community and the school board.

The candidates are Joyce Mundy, currently the superintendent of the Centennial School District in Warminster, Pennsylvania and Yaw Obeng, a superintendent in Burlington, Ontario.

A community interview will be held at the Hunt Middle School on Thursday. There will be separate student and staff interviews on Friday and the school board will interview the candidates late Friday afternoon.

The board says it will weigh public input when choosing the next superintendent.
