SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A 23-year-old Brigham Young University student accused of groping women on campus is slated to stand trial in March.
Judge Samuel McVey scheduled a five-day trial Monday to start on March 31.
Prosecutors say Nathan Eric Fletcher grabbed women while he was jogging, and cameras captured one of the incidents.
But defense attorneys are asking a judge to toss out testimony from 10 members of the track team who identified Fletcher in the video. Lawyers say in court papers that a detective showed the video to about 100 people and allowed them to talk among themselves, tainting the evidence.
Attorney John Allan did not immediately return a call for comment Monday.
Fletcher is facing two misdemeanor counts of sexual battery.
